Everywhere I went.... they followed.

In this nice sunny first day of April, I was home alone on the little farm.....but not completely. Everywhere I went I had a chicken in my shadow - literally.

Family traveling away, I got to spend some needed time planting around the house.
Horse tail around the front of the house (why not...nothing but rocks seem to grow there anyways) and Dianthus and Pansies.

Best part of it all thou, was all the extra help I had today.

So let me introduce of few of my helpers through pictures.

We have Duke- the puppy
Stars and stripes- the cats.
And
Chicken 1,2,3,4 and 5

Hope you enjoy some of pics from the little farm!

Too New Adventures.....

Just a little introduction…..

My name is Katie and I grew up on a little country farm. Horse, cows, pigs, lots and lots of chickens. I have so many hard working and wonderful memories that I have desired to continue as an adult, as a wife and mother. So, skipping ahead a few years (just a few), I am happily married with two beautiful daughters. We live down a dusty road not far from town, with just a few acres and barbwire.  15 years ago when we started this family our goal was to have a small working hobby farm. Many days and years have past, careers changed and busy lives happened. But I am determined that this 15th year of marriage we will began what we set out to do on this little farm many years ago.

So I hope you will follow along with us as we grow, learn and take new adventures.

So, here’s to making new wonderful memories.

True beauty

Soaking it up.....

Yes, this is my sweet husband. Getting ready to ride tomorrow.
Cleaning this old saddle-
in the dinning room!
   And bare-a-foot!

Love this little life! Just like this old saddle soaking up the oil, I want to soak up this life we have together as a family, in a small farm, day dreaming daily, full of hope for the future and just realizing it's okay to live and enjoy this life God has ever so blessed me with.
